as the stars descent upon the dark sky

a lullaby can be heard

let the deliciously warmed milk

put you to sleep

and its scent put you to ease

with her gentle hand patting your soft hair

may you fall asleep with mother’s care.

a poem written by my 13 year old daughter. what do you guys think? let me know.

    this is very good coming from a thirteen year old…it is a joy to see poets blossom so early…well-done

    That’s very good. My poems at her age usually began “roses are red, violets are blue” and then added with a stupid joke in the next two lines. Not exactly sophisticated, I’m afraid. 🙂

    Very advanced for someone her age. It’s beautiful!
