Details in the Fabric

I

see you

i felt you

as i move fast

the downtown alley

your beautiful i know

the scent of you smell hunts me

everywhere i go you are there

i feel you in all of my senses

your just like a detail in the fabric

gone

as worn

drenched when soaked

tattered in time

broken in pieces

drained where the water flows

forgotten in time you go

remembered once but never twice

held once more felt over smelled again

for you are a detail in the fabric.

P.S.

Double etheree this time.

An excellent poem Mich. I love the contrast of the capitalised I and lower case I as the poem progresses. It adds to the pain.
