I chose not to be discouraged
and for once
I made a decision I didn’t regret
I chose not to be defeated
and I wasn’t
I won fair and square
and never once was I beaten again
I kept hoping
I kept believing
in happy endings that everyone
thought was overrated
Happy endings happen every day
the happiness ends when the faith
goes away
Happy endings are not what i
believe in
friends and family and miracles
that come my way
these are what saved my day

A fantastic poem and take on today’s prompt Mich. I love the lines ” the happiness ends when the faith goes away.” They should use that as a mantra on self awareness courses.
