You

“Go where your heart

brings you the greatest joy,” they said.

I did.

But it brought me

the greatest pain instead.

Now

I can’t find joy nor pain.

I lost you.

In my

Memory.

  7. Sabiscuit says:

The divisions between heart and mind make this life bittersweet. Good luck with the remainder of your writing challenge. xo

  11. If you follow your gut instincts instead of your heart, then may be the pain can be avoided, but this is of course less poetical.
