You held my hand tight
As you bid goodbye
It was hard
It was insane…
You kissed me softly
with a whimpering cry
It froze my mind
It broke my heart…
You strained me in your embrace
clasped me in your arms
It pricked me
It stung me…
Then it rained on a summer afternoon.
P.S.
I was driving home when it rained so hard..really??? raining on a summer day??? It freaked me out..ahh maybe this is what global warming is all about…or, maybe just maybe, this is how it feels to leave a beloved behind…feels like rain on a summer afternoon…

It certainly is heart-wrenching when a loved one leaves or you have to walk away. But I love how you also linked it to the weather 😊😊

I want you to know that there is truly a side of me that thinks this is a very good post, but don’t think for a minute that there is a side of me that thinks otherwise.
It’s just that there is a side of me that wishes I had gone to sleep an hour ago, now all I can think of is WarPath, a Cheyenne woman that taught me far too much about rain.

A beautiful analogy and sentiment evoked from your poem Mich. We have just come into the Spring here in the UK, but temperatures may reach 22 degrees Centigrade today which is bonkers for this time of year.

yey…Thanks Jackie. ..the rain theme started out one afternoon while driving home. .it was the first time that I think I begun to appreciate the beauty of rain. ..cos as always I hate it when its raining. ..but rain could really be beautiful. ..it triggers so many emotions and so many thoughts…
