Time-Poem

How much of yesterday is to be forgotten
For our story to begin?

How much of yesterday is to be treasured
For our life to be remembered?

A yesterday lived in today
It is tomorrow to stay.

Change not the lapse of time
It can never be flipped upside down.

I Know I Didn’t Get to Say Goodbye-poem

I know I didn’t get to say goodbye

The least you want to even hear

You needed badly my hellos

Of the visits, I missed the most.

I know I didn’t get to say goodbye

But let me just come in for once

Let me have a moment with you

We’ll make it worth, I swear to you

I know I didn’t get to say goodbye

That’s why you left without waiting

Without a trail of not knowing why

You’re gone, without goodbye too

Where are you now?

That, I will never sure know

But please let me take a look

Of how life has become since you left

Without a single trace of goodbye.

Dream, Princess -Quadruple Etheree

Dream, Princess -Quadruple Etheree

Soar,

Higher

Dream bigger

“Go my princess”

My! you love it Dad

Oh gee such a dreamer

Like Ariel, “Little Mermaid”

I frequently lose track of time

Skirrs museums and art galleries

I was a dreamer, back then as a kid

Best,

Always

What I see

To everyone

Around in me

Optimist, you said

Reminds you of Belle from

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”

Dad, I was your princess always

Curiosity is innate in me

You applaud me for that, how proud you are.

Dad,

It’s been

Years you’re gone

I remembered

We dream together

To Disneyland, we go

That didn’t happen you’re gone

“I went to Dad, with my princesses”

They too are dreamers, like you and I

We dream we soar, and we make it happen

Hey,

You know

I almost

Forgot, to say

Pocahontas is

Who I grew up to be

I am always a dreamer

With a great sense of optimism

Empowered, vested and entitled

Has become of me, your little princess.

Mi Amor – a sonnet

img-9a61e9565e4afd4d3d4fe52bd7e29c57-v

I will soar higher, faster anywhere
Craving to achieve my desired  result
I can go astray and be lost somewhere
Ascending in great vertical extent

Let me journey through beyond the rainbow
And witness a pot of gold at the end
With thee my fervor hope and zeal I vow
To advance and never ever dare bend

Better yet see the universe afar
There is more beyond, I am sure of that
Greatness awaits, a magnitude of star
I feel it through, convinced without a doubt

But I am lost in your arms, undisturbed
Mi Amor,  with you here I am secured.

Note:

This is my first attempt to do a Shakespearean Sonnet but I simplified mine by simply sticking to the 10 syllables per line count with a rhyming scheme of ababa, cdcd, efef, gg

I still follow the fourteen lines in a Shakespearean sonnet though. The first twelve lines are divided into three quatrains with four lines each. In the three quatrains, the poet establishes a theme or problem and then resolves it in the final two lines, called the couplet.

P.S.

Inspired by Gina of Singledust’s, Sonnet https://alifelesslivedblog.wordpress.com/2019/01/05/a-sonnet-i-end-where-you-begin/

Hey! -Etheree

Written for: https://mythsofthemirror.com/2019/01/16/iceman-januarys-writingprompt/

Hey!
Say it.
Don’t keep it.
What have I done?
Control not yourself,
Loosen up, don’t restraint.
I can’t read between the lines.
Tell me, it is breaking my heart;
I know I am damn, I am hurt too.
We’re dying, this air, this space, killing us.

Diana, of Myths of the Mirror, has created a new, monthly photo prompt. We are challenged to write something about it. Find out the details, and join in at the above link. Thanks, Diana!

All Through my Life

I.

Mark my words, these chords I’m playing
All my life, I will be singing
All through rays of sunshine and rains
All through hurts and through pains
My love will keep burning.

Chorus 1.

It’s like a little heaven on earth (2×)
‘Cos it’s like a little heaven on earth
When I’m with you…oooh

II.

I swear this song I will sing forever
As we grow older and wiser
All through the days of my life
All through the moments in strife
My love will be yours ever.

Chorus 2.

It’s like a little heaven on earth (2x)
‘Cos it’s like a little heaven on earth
When I believe in you….oooh

Bridge

Heaven on earth…heaven on earth…
With you….oooh…with you…

P.S.

This week’s photo prompt of Helene made me wanna hum a song and strum a guitar. It probably would feel so good singing a song watching those lights up and above in the sky so high, up until they become tiny little stars in heaven from earth. BUT I cannot hum a song nor strum a guitar so a wrote a beautiful song instead which I hope one day I can (or someone can ) can put a melody on it.
