now that you’ve seen
the worst of me
will you still hold me tight
or let go of me in a sight?

now that you’ve seen
the ugliness in me
will you still keep me warm
in your loving arms?

now that you have seen
the outrage I could make
will you understand
and stay as planned?

you don’t need to answer
your blank stare says it all

      1. Agreed, I think once we learn to become more vulnerable with those around us we start to realize how many beautiful connections doing so can lead to! No problem, here to support a fellow poet 🙂

    1. Thank you kate…when i saw the photo promp of Sadje i didnt know first what to do with it..then i saw the photo of Marilyn and her famous “quote” so i thought i can do both worlds..

  1. This is great! You have put your take on the photo so well.
Thanks Mich for always being supportive. And for being the first one to respond to the challenge.

      1. Yes, Marilyn was a beauty! 🙂
She made some movies that have been favs of mine for eons! I watch them whenever I get the chance! She was beautiful, smart, and so funny! 🙂

      2. My most favourite is Gentlemen Prefer Blondes…another is Some Like it Hot…also, How to Marry a Millionaire…these are so funny! 😀 She has other good movies and some serious roles.

      1. My pleasure. It came to me rather quickly as I just did a post on that sonnet (complete) very recently on one of my blogs.
