now that you’ve seen
the worst of me
will you still hold me tight
or let go of me in a sight?
now that you’ve seen
the ugliness in me
will you still keep me warm
in your loving arms?
now that you have seen
the outrage I could make
will you understand
and stay as planned?
you don’t need to answer
your blank stare says it all

what do you see by Sadje

This one really hits home – the fear of losing someone/rejection due to revealing your truer self. Great poem!

Agreed, I think once we learn to become more vulnerable with those around us we start to realize how many beautiful connections doing so can lead to! No problem, here to support a fellow poet 🙂

Thanks Mich for always being supportive. And for being the first one to respond to the challenge.

This is very hard-hitting. It’s natural to feel vulnerable after exposing your true self and wondering if what they saw will make them leave!
