Ah, I recall wanting to be those things as well when I was little. I’m not a mother, but children are a blessing. Always a pleasure to read your work, Mich.
Excellent. The greatest one can ever be. Any career can be achieved by hard work and focus. But being a proud Mom is not everyone’s game. It is the toughest in the world and definitely the most loving job. I have seen my wife all these years and I know what this momhood entails.
Our warm wishes to you
thankyou so much for sharing your thoughts here.. Salute to all moms out there including your wife. its not easy but its very rewarding , that is for sure…
Love this post, being a Mom is not easy for everyone, I loved this part of my life and you certainly excelled in this. Though your writing is now coming to the fore.
Being a mom is THE greatest calling and job in the whole world! 🙂 I LOVE being a mom AND a grandmom! 🙂
All of those things…listening, making decisions, helping referee 😉 , talking, writing, etc…you use all of those to be the GREAT mom that you are, SweetMich!!! 🙂
HUGS to you and your 4 daughters!!!!

What a lovely poem! Of all the things I too imagined to be and do, motherhood and writing were never my real dream and yet both those have taken utmost prominence and fulfillment for me.
Its life. College days have so much in hand and then time changes everything. It only fulfills that one dream which exists only in the heart.
Beautiful carving as always Mich. 🙂

Loved the poetical look back at the aspirations of youth! How our plans change – but motherhood is by far the most important calling there is.

I am always impressed by how much you mothers can take on … parenting, home schooling, writing, publishing, working, exercising!
Yet being a parent is truly amazing, no rule book … but the proof is in how they turn out as adults 🙂
