No Matter What

how do we deal with shattered dreams
and broken promises?
how do we heal over losses
and grievances?
I honestly don’t know how

but one thing I am certain of
I will be beside you when your dreams
are traumatized
I will hold your hand and keep you steady
when your world is crumbling down
I will be right beside you

how do we cry over silenced thoughts
and unheard voices?
how do we forget induced mockery
and blasphemy?
I don’t know how, actually
but I will listen to you with open heart
and believe in you when, I swear no matter what

you don’t need to hide
I understand you
no matter what

  1. So beautiful, heart-touching, powerful, wonderful, SweetMich! (I have joy-tears in my eyes.)
I think all of us just want to know someone understands how we feel. They don’t have to be able to fix things. Just to have them by our sides…listening, supporting, believing in us, etc., means the world and carries us through the tough times. 🙂

  2. Too often the negative voices that echo in our heads take over and we forget that we are lovable. This is a big problem for teens – especially girls. To have a supportive relationship be it a mother, sister, grandmother or friend, can make the difference in reaching potentials…. This poem spoke to me.

    1. I agree Val… i really believe we need to find or have at least someone who will simply be there when we needed it the most. As for teens i too agree these young ones need a very supportive relationship for them to build their confidence ..thank you Val
