“I Would Fly To Where You Are” Out – May 17, 2021
“I remember how it felt when you held my hand. Yours was shaking; mine was seriously frozen. And yet, in just a momentary snap of a finger, we lost it. We lost it, my love. It was the kind of losing, you felt at home. It was the kind of losing you are secured. It was the kind of losing you never wish to be “found” again.”
“I Would Fly To Where You Are,” is my 4rth poetry book, a collection of poetry written during the height of the COVID – 19. Reflective of each and everyone’s love and desire to be with their loved ones – the special occasions we all missed to celebrate together like birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms, and many other milestones, and also, reflective of the moment we failed to say our final goodbyes to our loved ones who went ahead of us during the pandemic. This is a collection of poetry on love; love, surviving against all odds.
And why May 17, for its release date?
On this day, my papa in heaven will be celebrating his 71st birthday, AND I COULD LITERALLY FLY TO WHERE HE IS RIGHT NOW JUST TO SAY HOW MUCH I MISS HIM….
HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN HEAVEN PAPA… I LOVE YOU, THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU.
