To Have Or Not To Have

To Have Or Not To Have

it’s been years and years
and I can’t even recall when
little Yana started begging for you
to have you and to hold
in our humble household

but,

mama the stubborn one
never bothered to have one
fear of so many myths ’bout you
clouded her judgment
to have or not to have

and,

looking at you pretty
and cute and adorable as always
in Chris’ IG feed, makes me wonder
is it time maybe?
to have a Luna around
for little Yana,
who is not so little anymore?

P.S.

Little Yana – my third daughter who’s been begging for a cat ever since

Luna – Chri’s (https://lunasonline.wordpress.com/2021/06/07/smitten/) adorable cat, follow her on IG to see more of Luna

  1. I think you are like me with lots of doubts. I was convinced by my grandson and daughter to adopt a stray. He is adorable. And so is your poem. Thanks Mich for joining in.

  2. Aw! Sweet! I think Yana and a “Luna” would be an awesome pair! 😉 🙂
My youngest adult-kiddo helps to rescue and foster cats and then find them good homes. Oh, they’ve had some cutie-pie-kitties live with them until they are healthy and able to get a family. 🙂
    (((HUGS))) 🙂

  3. Aw, Luna and I are so honoured by your dedication, Mich! 🙂 She’s asleep on a cushion by my feet as I type this… we think Yana should get her wish but we’re biased of course!

  4. I’m a cat person but due to a husband and son with allergies I’m catless. I have to enjoy the kitties that I meet online and at other people’s homes….
