Happy Thursday dear friends and poets.
Today’s poem is 1st of a 3 – parts of poem i wrote called “I Didn’t Know”…and i am kicking it off with “beauty”.
This is my first venture on series poetry. Series poetry feature recurring characters and/or settings, often with a common tone as well. Serial poetry therefore takes an initial idea and expands on it over time, rather like episodes in a television show.
“”Every heart sings a song, incomplete, until another heart whispers back. Those who wish to sing always find a song. At the touch of a lover, everyone becomes a poet.” Plato
i didn’t know leaves could dance gracefully as the wind blows upon the signal of the monsoon rain while it pitter-patters on the roof
i didn’t know loud rumbling thunder could sound like a love song; so gentle and so sweet

i didn’t know a tremendous flash of lightning could look like fireworks at night, flashing spectacular lights in jubilant celebration
i didn’t see the beauty in them until the day i found you

i didn’t know beauty as much as I knew it when i had you

  1. This is so true! And the word-pics, emotions, and message in your poem brought joy-tears to my eyes! πŸ™‚ Love always carries with it beauty…it makes the ordinary/normal exciting…and it overshadows the harshness and pain in life. πŸ™‚ ❀ To have love is to share…with another, we can share all the things in life…good and the not-so-good! ❀ Yay for love! πŸ™‚
