poetrybymich πŸ’«πŸ’₯πŸ’› Happy 1st day of Na/GloPoWriMo my dear poet friends. let me introduce you to a “Bob & Wheel Poetry”, using the theme on empowered women..happy writingπŸ–‹πŸ–‹πŸ–‹

Empower (A Bob & Wheel Poetry)

not because
you are assigned the head
man; provides, delegates
gives you the right to hurt
women; humiliate us

head, indeed
responsibility
not a right to degrade
control, manipulate
only because you lead

not ever
will you hurt me i vow
you don’t have the power
over me sure i know
dignified, empower

Bob and Wheel Poetry:

1.Quintain (or five-line) stanza or poem
2.Rhyme scheme of ababa
3.First line of two to three syllables
4.Lines two through five have six syllables per line

It has been said many times and by many that men are the head of the family, responsible for the organization and care. Women on the other hand are expected to serve as the “light of the family”; takes care of the family’s needs by cooking, cleaning the house, doing the laundry, and god knows what else. Although i must say there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a homemaker, however, for some and in some culture men tend to “overdo” this responsibiltiy and take it as a reason to manipulate (whether intentional or not) the women. Simply because he works, he provides, he earns thus he is the only authority and the only one in command and power of the household.

What really hurts is the ‘entitled’ attitude – that the female species is born to serve. The only logic is this is how it has always been, and of course convenient to men.
