The eternal question of what makes a woman transposed over the perceived weakness when the soul is weary. Even a machine must refuel, a beast of burden must rest, and so too a woman. No one says an ox is weak when it stops to eat or sleep, no one thinks a machine is broken when it needs more gas. Why then is a woman branded inferior when she must pause to weep or refresh??
I am so grateful for your insights Val..you are so true..our society has been like this for a long time..when women take a break or literally breaks down, they are perceived as weak..its time.we change this…
In my humble opinion a strong woman is one who can cry, can fall, can give up and despite that all- stand up yet again.. to battle life’s challenges, to be weak sometimes and admit that it’s all too much. To be your best self! (Even if that means staying in bed all day if that’s the best you can do 😉)
Important ponderful questions, SweetMich!
I think a woman is really strong when she can just be 100% herself, authentic…and still be loved, respected, and appreciated by someone or someones. 🙂 Whether being herself means taking charge in or crying (which at times is a strong thing to do). Too many people through the ages have tried to get women to change, or squelch who they are at heart to be accepted, etc., and all of that has been so wrong.

Do women ever give up because they are tired? They just change the battleground.
