Crossroad

and here i am, standing at the crossroad
of what used to be the meeting place of our dreams
where stoplights and lamp posts were the witnesses
of what seemed to be an impossible dream.

and here i am, years after our dreams were born
hoping endlessly that this road won’t end
not by a stop light or by another crossroad
‘cos i’ve had enough of never-ending turning points

and here i am in my wishful thinking that we’ve reached the end
‘cos i’ve had enough of never-ending deciding moments
i’m done reconnecting with my inner self
i’m tired of doin’ what’s best for the common good.

i want us to be just at the crossroad together
dreamin’ bigger, bolder, braver in a more provocative way ever.
