your eyes speak to me
of a love so perfectly
it’s like  promises
of roses and butterflies
with magical wishes
of ever-after and
forever.

all i ever need to do
is look back at you
for there in your eyes
is a love no other man
could ever do.

your eyes speak to me
of devotion so honestly
it’s not like allegiance
for convinience nor
fidelity because
needed.

all i ever need to do
is look back at you
for there in your eyes
is your ardent wish
to stay true.

your eyes make me steady
as i navigate through
the sea of life
so rough and hazy
for there it says
you’re not alone
never will be.

all i ever need to do
is keep still and
never let go
of your eyes
and your gift
of loving kindness.

your eyes make me strong
as i brave all the storms
that may come my way
for there i see your
strong faith in me.

all i ever need to do
is keep an eye on you
for just one look at you
my world changes its hue
from blue to vibrant colors
of rainbows in the sky.
