Turn the Table

Let’s reverse the plan

change the situation

let’s gain the upper hand

turn back time

to the day it started

day one of November notes.

This is also in conclusion to the challenge; and what better way to thank Sarah and Rosema for hosting this challenge than thru short poetry like this.

Thank you to both of you for pushing my limits and making me go beyond my boundaries as a writer. The challenge has made me write themes that I thought I could never actually write.

Day 30 prompt: Turning Tables by Adelenovember-notes-4

For Now

You’re doing fine…I think

Your heart’s divine… I think

You’ll find your worth

The purpose of your birth

I think so…

You will be great… I hope

You will be strong… I hope

You will be fair

Someone will always be there

I hope so…

And when you feel like giving up

Just pause a little, you can stop

And try to breathe a little lighter

And I swear it will be better

You can be cute… perhaps

You can bear fruit…perhaps

You can triumph

You can even beat a funk

Perhaps, perhaps not…

But for now, I’ll take care of you.!!!

Day 28 prompt: Look After You by The Fray

Hang On

I hurt you, I know

I got crazy sometimes, that’s sure

Your scolding annoyed me, most often

You suck at everything, I always say

But baby, I love you even then.

I am sick and tired, I think so

I went wild for most of the time, I say

You’re a brat, and I scorned you for that

You run back home, I’d prod you

But baby, I’ll miss you when you’re gone.

I needed a break,  on this heartache

I can be gone myself and never comeback

Your smile is all I need to make it all go away

You are what I always dreamed of to have

So baby, please don’t give up on me.

‘Cos I can never make it through without you.

Mama

I took the wrong lane,

I traveled the wrong path,

I trudged the wrong way,

But

Baby I made it to you,

Mama was there every step

of my way.

You

“Go where your heart

brings you the greatest joy,” they said.

I did.

But it brought me

the greatest pain instead.

Now

I can’t find joy nor pain.

I lost you.

In my

Memory.

Day 23 prompt: You Are A Memory by Message to Bears

november-notes-4

Fallen’

A sunbeam to warm you,

A moonbeam to charm you,

A Celtic angel so nothing can harm you.

‘Cos baby I’ve fallen’ over you

AGAIN…

Day 22 prompt: Free Fallen’ by John Meyer

november-notes-4

Lies

Give me time

Let me find the fountain of youth

Or maybe Neverland

So we can be kids again together

So that our happily ever after

Can last forever after

But you give me lies instead

So let me find the courage to let you go.

Day 21 prompt: Recreational by Aaron Krause

november-notes-4

Scream

I’m screaming your name

In the middle of nowhere

At 2 am

In a raging thunderstorm

Our bodies are small

But our hearts are as big as the world

It’s big enough for everyone we love

Our days are dark

But our hearts are brighter than the sun

It’s enough for everyone.
