2020 is the year many would want to forget.
Pandemic has made it the most horrible year ever, they say.
I say, 2020 is the year I was reminded of the marvels of love. I was reminded of the wonders of friendship. I was reminded of the spectacles of beautiful memories and most importantly, it was the year I was reminded the importance of chasing after your dreams and making it happen.
So I welcome 2021 with love and gratitude to 2020.
Thank you 2020 for giving me the time to remember the things I so long have forgotten, thank you for allowing me to make more beautiful memories, thank you for the chance to reach greater heights in life, and above all thank you for the valuable lessons you’ve taught me: that when all else is gone love prevails.
Here’s a poem to remind you to create more beautiful memories with your loved ones.

Against The Dazzling Sunset
I have never seen you looked so good
than that afternoon
framed by the doorway
against the dazzling sunset
your eyes smiled
it longed to speak of a thousand more
unspoken words, unspoken thoughts
unspoken feelings and unspoken dreams
I have never seen you looked so good
than that afternoon
framed by the doorway
against the dazzling sunset
you whispered in my ear
the things I’ve been waiting to hear
oh, how my heart fluttered
quickly, lightly yet steadily
in great anticipation
I have never seen you looked so good
than that afternoon
framed by the doorway
against the dazzling sunset
you held my hand, for the first time
it felt like forever, my body shivered,
quivered, as you slowly
gently, with a loving gaze
looked me in the eye
I have never seen you looked so good
than that afternoon
framed by the doorway
against the dazzling sunset
you moved your body closer to mine
I froze for a second
my heart stopped beating for a moment
then you kissed me
fervently, passionately
–my most cherished memory of you
and of how we all started
