I Could Still Write You The Most Romantic Love Poem

I Could Still Write You The Most Romantic Love Poem

it’s been a long while, and i keep wondering why
my heart and mind are in deep muddy disarray
damn! i so want to write another epic love poem
that transcends distance, universes, and time.

dear heart, please settle down and be calm this time
be still in the moment like the gust of wind in the summertime
my mind is telling me to tamper you with brutality
don’t go beyond your limits and beyond reality.

damn! it’s been a while, and i so want to write another epic love poem
how could it be when my pen is bleeding in a bloody red stain
how could it be when my heart is dying in agony and in vain
but i still damn want to write another epic love poem.

yes, i so damn want it, for in case you didn’t know
baby, i’m crazy about you, and i hate to wait for tomorrow
so i’ll take my pen and let it bleed further in vain
only then would you know i love you like a sad refrain.

i love you, yes i do, and i don’t care if you’d love me back
loving doesn’t really need to be always like that
i love you even if you’d walk away and take another path
i love you even if you’d cut me off and pack your bags.

for even the storm could fall during summer
so i could still love you and be your midnight lover
for even the rainbow appears without a drop of rain
so i could still love you and be your saddest sunshine.

i could still write you the most romantic love poem ever
i could still love you even with my heart breaking forever.
i could still love you in my deepest, most quiet solitude
i could still love you with my heart and mind in a feud.

yes, i could still, and i would still
forever love you from a distance.

Proposal/Poetry Reading

Proposal

we could argue overnight for the rest of our lives
we could go on blame throwing in streak of fives
but baby there is no denying between our pride
and our love, the latter takes on by landslide

we could squabble over petty trivial matter
we could bring on particular details to be clear
but baby we’ve loved each other even before we knew
that love exists between two friends in feud

we could be crazy and wait for decades more
we could be silly and let things get loose further
but baby we we knew we can’t afford to squander
more years and more memories as we ponder

we could persistently ignore the reality
we could always care less with brutality
but baby we knew we are both miserable apart
for our lives evolve around us together to start

so baby trust me when i say we were never friends to begin with
i’ve loved you for years and years and will love you for more years
i’d say the cheesiest line you’d probably hear
please don’t laugh hear me when i say

“make me the happiest poet in the world and spend the rest of your life with me”

A Perfect Streak of Love and Destiny/Poetry Reading

A Perfect Streak of Love and Destiny

it’s true then what they say,
no amount of words will find a way
of expressing how much you love when its too great
too good, too endearing, my dear
but i’ll say it the best way my poet heart
can anyway

i love you, for many wonderful reasons
like when you just look at me with so much admiration
how can i not notice the smile in your eyes
and the joy on your face, and for that you made
me the happiest as always

i love you, for the many times you
make me giggle like a little child getting a hand-made doll
or the way you charm me with your classic
boy-next-door wink
oh, how you make me blush,
my heart skipping a beat

let me pause by saying, of course i don’t forget, we’ve come a long way, my dear
and i swear, the rocky roads and crazy road bumps, we’ve been through
were testaments of true love,
worthy of one great love tale

above all, my love, its true what they say
love knows no boundaries, doesn’t even have an age limit or expiry date, ‘cos trust me when i say, at forty – five, i love you
like i used to love you back in the days
when we were crazy and young and careless

ours, my dear, is a love written in the stars
where the universe conspires
and the Gods and Goddesses unite
to create a perfect story line, a perfect match, a perfect tale
for two imperfect individuals, to love and to hold, ’till death do they part

and so it’s true what they say,
no amount of words will find a way
of expressing how much you love when its too great
too good, too endearing, my dear
but maybe not, for a poet like me
‘cos i have a hundred million ways to tell you how much i love you

a perfect streak of love and destiny

My Dearest Muse

poetrybymich💛💥Happy Valentines Day dear friends and poets.

My Dearest Muse

there are many things ’bout us that i will never forget,
no matter how i try, i won’t, i bet
just as there are many reasons why i love you
i love you for all the faith you have in me
for all the times you made me see
the things i can’t seem to believe in me
but there’s one thing i love the most ’bout you
you stayed by my side even when i was giving up on you,you never gave up on me, on our love
you never gave up on us

there are many things ’bout us that i will never forget,
no matter how i try, i won’t, i bet
just as there are over a hundred million love songs
and i won’t forget the ones i sing along with you
just as there are many love poems i love and i  wrote
but i love the most the ones i wrote with you
and i love you for all the times you made me write verses that made us smile,
verses that made us cry,
verses that made us giggle like children
verses that made it on the bestsellers collection

there are many things ’bout us that i will never forget,
no matter how i try, i won’t, i bet
just as there are many occasions i was wrong
and i won’t forget the many times you forgave me and just smiled
and i love you for all the  joys, the smiles you gave  me
for all the times you pushed me hard, so hard
because you believe in me, more than i believe in myself,
you showed me the most loving,
the most caring, the most daring
version of me i never thought i had

there are many things ’bout us that i will never forget,
no matter how i try, i won’t, i bet
just as there are many reasons i love you
but i love you the most because you never gave up on me even when, at times, i was so rough on you,  you could have walked away,
packed your things and left, just left,
but you stayed, you stayed
even if there seemed no more
reasons to stay

you never gave up on me, that
i will never forget, no matter how i try,
i won’t, i bet

Stranger

Stranger

what do you call this glorious blazing ball of fire?
marvelously hanging up in what they call the sky
seemingly offering a warm embrace on a cold winter grace
will its heat be enough, warm my soul, my lonely heart?

what do you call this yet another ball of fire?
magically shining through the night
taking control over giving a peaceful rest
will its magic be enough, put my wary heart at pause?

what do you call these luminous spheroid objects?
perfectly positioned in between the magical ball
lifting heads and hearts heavenwards
will its brightness be enough, unload my heavy heart?

for what do I call the world without you
for what the world would feel without you
for what the world would look like without you
such a stranger I would be, the least to say

don’t make me a stranger to my world
so, please baby stay

Day 1 Prompt

Sometimes, writing poetry is a matter of getting outside of your head, and learning to see the world in a new way. To an extent, you have to “derange” yourself – make the world strange, and see it as a stranger might.

Against The Dazzling Sunset

2020 is the year many would want to forget.

Pandemic has made it the most horrible year ever, they say.

I say, 2020 is the year I was reminded of the marvels of love. I was reminded of the wonders of friendship. I was reminded of the spectacles of beautiful memories and most importantly, it was the year I was reminded the importance of chasing after your dreams and making it happen.

So I welcome 2021 with love and gratitude to 2020.

Thank you 2020 for giving me the time to remember the things I so long have forgotten, thank you for allowing me to make more beautiful memories, thank you for the chance to reach greater heights in life, and above all thank you  for the valuable lessons you’ve taught me: that when all else is gone love prevails.

Here’s a poem to remind you to create more beautiful memories with your loved ones.

Against The Dazzling Sunset

I have never seen you looked so good
than that afternoon
framed by the doorway
against the dazzling sunset
your eyes smiled
it longed to speak of a thousand more
unspoken words, unspoken thoughts
unspoken feelings and unspoken dreams

I have never seen you looked so good
than that afternoon
framed by the doorway

against the dazzling sunset
you whispered in my ear
the things I’ve been waiting to hear
oh, how my heart fluttered
quickly, lightly yet steadily
in great anticipation

I have never seen you looked so good
than that afternoon
framed by the doorway

against the dazzling sunset
you held my hand, for the first time
it felt like forever, my body shivered,
quivered, as you slowly
gently, with a loving gaze
looked me in the eye

I have never seen you looked so good
than that afternoon
framed by the doorway

against the dazzling sunset
you moved your body closer to mine
I froze for a second
my heart stopped beating for a moment
then you kissed me
fervently, passionately

–my most cherished memory of you
and of how we all started

I Wonder

I wonder if we ever get to be
born back in the ’50s
will you adore me in my
hour-glass silhouette,
softly rounded shoulders,
nipped-in waist and voluminous skirts,
feeling like a princess?
will you ask me out for a date
and proudly bring me
to a local ice cream shop
share a giant banana split
with lashings of cream
swimming in hot fudge sauce
then we can talk, look at each other
as we take another serving
this time, on a cone
then maybe, just maybe, we can share
not just an ice cream, but our first kiss
in between our melted ice cream cones?
then we could snuggle up
at the drive-in theater
and watch Aubrey Hepburn’s “Roman Holiday”
let’s end the day, in a parking spot
staring at the night skylines counting stars
and looking like a pair of
crazy teenagers

I wonder if we ever get to be
born back in the ’50s
will you be brave enough
to ask for my hand for marriage?

I Love You, At First – Poetry Reading

Alfred Lord Tennyson, said “’tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all”. Although romantic regret can be difficult to handle, it also teaches and helps us shape the way we handle relationships and the way we deal with love and the act of loving itself.

And though it is indeed better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all, yet, I tell you nothing beats the joy of being loved in return.

So, indulge yourself as you listen to how true love can endure the test of time.

Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas everyone.

Keep the love alive!!!
