Perfect Christmas Kiss

    i like peanut butter; you  prefer mayo

    i eat everything but beef; while you enjoy a meal of f steak

            And i like quiet dinner together but you said conversation is what makes it better

i hate cracking jokes but it is your life i guess

            i always ask for direction; finding your  way is your choice

            i like a walk in the mall;  you’d rather run and stroll

                         while i’m piling on the comforter; you lay there bare in comfort

                         as i read poetry you’d rather watch T.V.

i can’t find you the perfect gift; you never like my choices

on Christmas eve i’d give you the one thing we always agreed upon

a perfect Christmas eve kiss.

Monday Morning Melts #6

Jade: Do you feel it? The beautiful lights, the easy smiles, and the hint of magic in the air that always makes the holiday season one to remember.

Instead of choosing from one of the classic Christmas songs, I’m offering lyrics this week from a song that’s a little quirkier. To everyone still scrambling for that perfect Christmas gift, I hope this song is a reminder that the perfect Christmas gift is something money can never buy.

Happy Holidays to all of you, my dear friends! I wish you all a season of contagious laughter, unconditional love, and magic to last a lifetime.

PROMPT: Humbug – Owl City

I’m ready to wrap that perfect Christmas gift
But I haven’t found it yet
‘Cause I don’t have a clue what to get you
So I’ll give you my heart, I hope it’ll do

Your Turn:

  1. Share a poem, story, or photo inspired by this week’s song-lyrics-prompt. You can share something you created that was inspired directly by the lyrics or you can share other pieces that coincidentally fit the prompt (for ex: an old piece of yours, or one of a beloved blogger – with permission).
  2. Linkback/create a pingback to this post. Here is a quick tutorial on how to do it.
  3. Tag your post with MondayMorningMelts, so we and  your co-bloggers will be able to read/see your take on the prompt. Here’s how you create tags.
  4. Most important of all, read and comment to your blogger friends (old and new found, we’ll never know).😉

There are no word limits and no restrictions except to stay true to the theme. Creating a brand new post in response to the prompt is also optional.

The goal isn’t to create new content, but rather to share pieces that melt the heart, tickle the soul, and brighten up a typically gloomy Monday. That’s why if you already have a piece that fits this week’s lyrics, or if you have a fellow blogger whose piece you want to share (with their permission), you are more than welcome to do so!

In Between

In Between

I am million miles away from home. The home where i grew up with. The distance is suffocating…deafening…exhilarating; but this is nothing compared to the distance we’ve created even if we’re not million miles apart; the distance between our families…our friends…our siblings…our in laws..our neighbors…and often times the distance between the very person we claimed we love the most. Yes! This is the distance that we cannot measure..we cannot touch…we cannot see…BUT we can always bridge the gap…find a way..open an avenue…and maybe, yes, just maybe see a clearer view…

Between heaven and earth;
a story is unearth.
Between past and present;
a sailing is sent.
Between here and there;
a distance is clear.
Between a moment and forever;
a struggle so clear.

Sometimes heaven and earth met;
when a story is broken and lit.
Sometimes past and present collide;
when the sailing subside.
Sometimes here and there is near;
when the view is clearer.
Sometimes a moment and forever is eternity;
when the struggles become infinity.

So move heaven and earth boldly;
for your story to be told oddly.
So hold the past and present sincerely;
for your sailing to be done completely.
So break the here and there completely;
for your distance to be moved effortlessly.
So create a moment and forever lovingly;
for your struggles to be over definitely.

Rosema: Most of the time, love is expressed and felt through physical intimacy. Touch. Kisses. Hugs. But how about loving someone from afar? How about loving someone you haven’t seen yet? How about falling for someone’s soul residing in a body thousand miles away from you? Will it be a gamble worth committing? Will it feel like a heart’s solitary suicide?

This week, let’s delve the idea of long distance love. (Which is now for me, the purest love of all).❤

“One Sweet Love” – Sara Bareilles

The earth that is the space between,
I’d banish it from under me to get to you.
Your unexpected love provides my solitary suicide
oh I wish I knew

MY CAPPUCCINO

MY CAPPUCCINO

Secrets of silver swirly dreams
moments of silence, frosty screams
stronger visions of soft, sweet, irreplaceable joys.

Remain pure, light, alluring;
beautifully crafted in a whipped snow – white
heavenly cream.

Choco – colored clear reflections
warm, unstirred, floating hopes
sweet, hot bits of serenity
delicious criss – cross fantasies.

lovingly blended by delicate
stored in a cup, freshly designed,
classically adorned.

window panes, soaking with rain
against the ivory painted walls
rhythm blues played again
around cozy, midnight blue couches.

millions of thoughts wondering about
soothing, empowering, mirror ball of the soul.

ahhh! how i longed for my savoury cappuccino..

MONDAY MORNING MELTS 4

Risking it all in a glance

Monday Morning Melts 3

In response to Monday Morning Challenge hosted by Rosema of A Reading Writer and Jade M. Wong.

Monday Nov. 21: In Your Hands- Jason Mraz
But when you’re alone
You’re living in a world with only choices
And what I choose is you

Sleeping beauty

Slept peacefully

For a century, or so

She happily dreamt

But then one day

A kiss to her lips

Made her wake up

And that’s when reality blew up

Now it’s the same

The spell has been lifted

Our years of imagining

Are finally over

I chose you.

Monday Morning Melts 2

I want this to be perfect

Am pretty sure it’s not

But either way, we’re here today

That’s already a lot

I want this to be flawless

I guess that won’t come true

But either way, we’re here this way

Am here for you.

The stadium lights are binding

We’e not supposed to be here

But still we choose to stay and laugh and

run and go into hiding

The chances drop to zero

We’re quickly losing time

PROMPT: Love Me Now – John Legend

I don’t know who’s gonna kiss you when I’m gone
So I’m gonna love you now, like it’s all I have

Monday Morning Melts

In   response to Monday Morning Melts hosted by Rosema of A Reading Writer and Jade M. Wong.

This week’s song is If you’re not the One by Daniel Bedengfield.

I remembered this song became a hit when i was pregnant with my youngest daughter who is now 12 years old..

So i thought of asking her to write/create her interpretation of this song..
