Gentle

Gentle

we all want a love
that is gentle and kind and calm
but the world isn’t
and so are the circumstances
we can only hope love
will find its way to a better and safer place
after all no great love story has ever been told that has not gone through hell and beyond
even God’s love for humanity has made Him sacrificed His only begotten Son
that sure is one great LOVE.

we all want a love
that is gentle and kind and calm.

P. S.

This photo prompt reminds me of the incredible  calming effect being with the one person we love. It’s like being one with nature where we are removed from distractions and can reflect on our lives. It brings with it an awareness that we are part of something greater than ourselves, while at the same time this reminds me that like nature, love too will go through different stages of chaos, disorder and confusion. And as we always say, “there’s always a rainbow after the rain”. That’s the wonder of nature. That’s the magic of love.

Never Let Me Go

oh, how I long for days and nights
when the world was kind, when birds
sang melodious hymns of nature in perfect
harmony, with the towering trees and perfect hues of stunning verdant hills

so, come hold my hand
and let’s take a walk,
a walk back in time

oh, how I long for days and nights
of undending silence, solitude, and peace
when we were enveloped by nature’s
loving presence, when we could take a quiet walk, a joyful stroll, a glorious saunter

so, come hold my hand
and let’s take a walk,
a walk back in time

oh, how I long for days and nights
of triumphant laughters, unrestrained talks,
lively discussions with friends and family
over lunch or alfresco dining,
in a party – like atmosphere

so, come hold my hand, tighter,
and never let me go

Lichen

and we are back to square one
back to how it all started
just like lichen
simple symbiotic relationship
I am the fungus
and you are
the photosynthetic organism
I grow where you are
I stay where you are
and you, enjoys
the  presence of a fungus
just like that
nothing more
nothing less
at your own convenience
just like how lichen was discovered;
’twas the right hypothesis at a wrong time.
