the poem speaks highly of how to love yourself – alone, without the need for other people’s approval and love. sometimes, our desire to belong and to be loved is what kept us trapped in an abusive relationship. and i don’t just mean here abusive relationship between a couple. this may surprise you but relationships between and among friends and relatives could be abusive too. it happens normally when one party is the one always giving and understanding.
“you need to control your habit of forgetting to breathe”, “there is a you telling another story of you. Listen to her.” these lines from the poem struck me the most.
Call It Whatever You Want
sarcasm arrogance small insults call it whatever you want intentional or not one thing is sure its meant to hurt you, break you, tear you apart then the worst is yet to come when you finally began to question your self-worth and start believing that it could be true.
sarcasm arrogance small insults bullying at its finest and it happens not only among friends, among classmates among co-workers; but between two people two people who promised to love each other someone is the arrogant bully who when confronted claims to be a victim but refuses to admit to having played the role of a victim.
sarcasm arrogance small insults intentional or not when you start to doubt yourself and it takes you to a darker place walk away before it’s too late.
can we be together forever and ever under the city nightsky? we could cuddle together anytime anywhere we could have popcorns and unlimited coffee over re – runs of “Friends” we could probably have scared or annoyed our neighbors for all the noises that we make for we’ve never dated ever so this is our chance, we make the call.
we could have our friends around over breakfast, lunch and even dinner let our kitchen be your stage as i could barely make a gorgeous meal i’d be the proudest to flaunt you prepare dishes we both go crazy about for we’ve never dated ever so this is our chance, we make the call.
can we just go anywhere take me out or take me somewhere it doesn’t matter where, for as long as you are with me celebrating our love that has been kept for so long for we’ve never dated ever so this is our chance, we make the call.
we could stay up all night laughing at my silly epic jokes or we could write the most romantic, sappy love story everyone romantic soul would go crazy wild about it could be as romantic as Emily Bronte’s “Wuthering Heights” or as tragic as Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” for we’ve never dated ever so this is our chance, we make the call.
we could have Valentine’s Day any time or Christmas on a summer day it doesn’t matter anyway, we could celebrate anniversaries even if it isn’t our anniversary, who cares for we’ve been deprived of those for for many years, many summers, and many days for we’ve never dated ever so this is our chance, we make the call.
take me out or take me home it doesn’t matter where we’ve never dated ever so this is our chance, we make the call.
i want an early morning cuddle when the world is in complete halt in silence in serenity in anticipation of the breaking of dawn; i want a snuggle.
i want a splashy afternoon high tea in a place so magical so carefree when the world is in perfect chaos in time to meet deadlines before the sun is down; i want a tea cheers.
i want a love that is enchanting when the world is doubting the power of one great love one exceptional love because of confusion and mayhem; i want an incredible love.
i want all these with you nothing else no else but YOU
